About the Artist
D. Keith Furon was born in 1952, in Los Angeles, California. His studio is based in Phoenix, Arizona. He studied at University of California at Berkeley, Thomas Edison State University, and earned his Master of Fine Art from National University. Much of his work has been sold through Sotheby's Auction House. His work is included in the permanent collections of the Boulder Museum of Contemporary Art, and The Kinsey Institute Grunwald Art Gallery.
D. Keith began his career as an art director and ultimately creative director for some of the largest advertising agencies in the world, including Bozell/Jacobs, DDB/Needham and Ogilvy & Mather. His background as an art director helps him create images that are unique and stunning, and from a unexpected perspective. One of the few fine art photographers who is experienced as an art director, D. Keith brings a strong conceptual approach to his imagery.
D. Keith's work is his message. He looks for the unexpected, for images that others haven't seen before. His images are infused with a refined sense of composition and aesthetic. And blended with a sensual and powerful spirit. He captures the essence within the subject.
